I’m in Aspen for a workshop. It’s been one week already and another to go. I just cannot wait to go back home and hug and kiss and cuddle with my daughter; I miss her so much! It has to be true. There is no greater love than the love for your child.
I also want to take this as an opportunity to record some moments that made me feel so proud of my daughter. I want to write them down so that I can tell her about these moments for years to come. I’ll add more if and when I remember them…
1) One time we had friends over and they have a child who is effectively just a day older than Vaani. Vaani had just turned two, and she was sitting on her toy chair hunched over her coloring desk. The other little girl really wanted to have a go on the chair too, but Vaani was refusing to let her play with it. So I spoke to Vaani about it and she still refused. Then I told her, but you see, your friend will leave soon, and then this desk will be yours anyway; if you let her play with it it mayke her happy and it would be fun for the both of you…. Et viola, Vaani thought about it, and then brought the chair and desk over to where the little girl was! What an intelligent and kind girl my daughter is!
